Skipjack on the Chesapeake

Skipjack Racing. This renowned type of sailing vessel has plied the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries for over a century, and a working fleet still exists because of its advantage when use for harvesting oysters. The skipjack in this scene is participating in the annual races off Sandy Point.
