The Ferry "TRED AVON"

Oxford, Maryland

Operating on the Tred Avon River between Oxford and Bellevue, Md., this three-car ferry operated by Cat. William L. Benson is the oldest privately owned ferry service in the U.S., having been in continuous operation since 1760. It makes about 8,000 round-trips a year.
