Donated Material Guidelines
- Donations are accepted at the Main Library in Easton only. The St. Michaels Branch is not able to accept any donated materials.
- No more than 2 boxes or bags of donated materials may be brought by one patron at one time. (This is to allow Library staff and volunteers time to review all donations.)
- All donations must be brought to the Circulation Desk.
- Library staff will be happy to provide you with a receipt for tax purposes. Please be prepared with an accurate count of the number of total items, as well as specific counts of paperbacks, hardcover books, DVDs, etc. The Library is not allowed to assign a value to donated materials.
- All materials donated to the Library must be in good condition, with no mold, mildew, dust or water damage.
- The Library cannot accept donations of Reader's Digest Condensed Books, medical or legal books that are more than 5 years old, textbooks or encyclopedias.
