10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
The library's 3rd annual Chesapeake Children's Book Festival will be held this year on Saturday, June 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This year's festival will be held in Easton's Waterfowl Building (the old Armory, 40 S. Harrison St.) in conjunction with, and across the street from, the Academy Art Museum's Juneteenth Celebration. Which means people can attend both events! The Festival is a one-day, rain or shine, free event that celebrates children, community, diversity, and literacy. Festival-goers will have the opportunity to meet award-winning, best-selling, multi-talented authors and illustrators as they share their stories and love of children. As in past years, the Children's Book Festival will also serve as the kick-off event for the Talbot County Free Library's summer reading program. Children who sign up for the summer reading program may receive a voucher good for a free book from one of the Festival's authors (while supplies last).
