9th Annual Chesapeake Children's Book Festival
Kick off summer reading at the Chesapeake Children's Book Festival. Children who sign up and attend the festival will receive one free book (while supplies last) from the attending author of their choice. Some authors will give readings of their books, and there will be crafts, displays and giveaways. The library will be open to patrons from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. with the Circulation Desk open for service. Please note that there is no reference services on Saturday.

Please note that Steam Camp is now full. Session I, for ages 6-8. Monday-Friday, June 24-28, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Immersive learning and engaging activities in lessons related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. Free and open to the public. Snack and lunch provided. Campers bring their own water bottle. Registration limited and required at tcfl.org.

A Case Manager will be at the library on Mondays from 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Please note the one exception to Mondays is when the library is closed on a Monday in which case the day is Tuesday. Mil Colores (A Thousand Colors): A Bilingual Family Concert
Colombian-born songwriter and performer, Nathalia, hosts a fun and interactive presentation of her original bilingual music. Exploring a variety of imaginative themes, Nathalia and her dynamic ensemble paint a world of musical colors by fusing popular styles with traditional Latin American sounds and rhythms. From start to finish, her catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics and musical stories, will have families singing, dancing, even learning a little Spanish, in this exciting multicultural experience!
