Join us to hear L. Michelle Johnson and Cheryl Hoopes share about this collection of artifacts. Revealing the Commodore Collection tells the story of how a community brought value to a set of documents and artifacts that were found in a home about to be demolished. Learn how student historians built a set of documents that shed light on one Eastern Shore man's journey from slavery to freedom. Lunch & Learn Speaker series is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be provided.

We welcome Nancy Taylor Robson, author of "A Love Like No Other: Abigail and John Adams, a Modern Love Story." Nancy is one of the first women in the country to earn her U.S. Coast Guard license to run coastal tugboats. She is the author of four books and holds a degree from the University of Maryland.
