The Talbot Historical Society and Talbot County Free Library is pleased to partner for this lecture. A classic returns in a second edition, "Rivers of the Eastern Shore", by Hulbert Footner. Lunch & Learn with Guest Speaker Ron Lesher
Ron Lesher is a long time stamp collector, exhibitor, and a nationally and internationally accredited judge of stamp exhibits. He is a life member of the American Philatelic Society, which in 2021 bestowed upon him the Luff Award for distinguished philatelic research. Lesher will discuss The Taxation of Legal Alcohol During National Prohibition, 1920 – 1933. The Lunch & Learn Speakers series is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be provided.

The Friends of the Library are preparing for their book sale on October 27th and will be accepting items from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Easton Library in the Frederick Douglass Room. Donations limited to one bag or box of books and DVDs, in good condition please.

We welcome the first female Chief of the Nause-Waiwash Tribe who will speak on Eastern Shore Native American history and culture.
