The Monday Writers
If you have been thinking about writing your memoirs but don't know how to get started, this Zoom class is for you! During sessions, each participant will share their 500-word essay assigned during the prior session. Writing takes place at home, and stories will be read and discussed in class. This ongoing class meets on the second and fourth Monday of the month, 10:30 a.m.- noon. To register, call the library at 410-822-1626. Upon registration, you will receive a Zoom invitation and writing assignment topics for the year.

Eco-Poetry Readings
In celebration of Earth Day 2023 and National Poetry Month, Talbot County Free Library, Shore Lit, and The Shore Poetry will be presenting a free eco-poetry reading centered on the theme of shore landscapes. They have selected fifteen regional poets to read original poems related to the theme of shores, rivers, tides, and liminality. Featured poets will include: Lindsay Lusby, Jane Satterfield, Ned Balbo, Christine Spillson, Sarah Brockhaus, Chris Cocca, Catherine Pierce, Summer Smith, Siobhan Murray, Cassandra Whitaker, Shannon Ryan, Gray Fox, Nancy Mitchell, Tara A. Elliott, and Terin Weinberg. The event is free and open to the public.
