The Monday Writers
If you have been thinking about writing your memoirs but don't know how to get started, this Zoom class is for you! During sessions, each participant will share their 500-word essay assigned during the prior session. Writing takes place at home, and stories will be read and discussed in class. This ongoing class meets on the second and fourth Monday of the month, 10:30 a.m.- noon. To register, call the library at 410-822-1626. Upon registration, you will receive a Zoom invitation and writing assignment topics for the year.

One of the world’s top Frederick Douglass scholars, Professor Celeste-Marie Bernier of the University of Edinburgh, makes a return for a series of talks on her most recent findings, as described in her forthcoming books: Douglass Family Lives: The Anna Murray and Frederick Douglass Family Collected Works and Biography: Book 1 – 6, The Anna Murray and Frederick Douglass Family Selected Writings: A Reader, and Battleground: African American Art (1985-2015).
