Sharing Our Memories

If you have been thinking about writing your memoirs but don't know how or where to get started, this Zoom class is for you! During sessions, each participant will share their 500-word essay assigned during the prior session. Writing takes place at home, and stories will be read and discussed during class time. This ongoing course meets on the second and fourth Monday of the month, 10:30 a.m. - noon. To register, call the library at 410-822-1626. Upon registration, you will receive a Zoom invitation and a writing assignment which will be read and discussed during the next session.

Author Event: Joseph Koper

Easton author Joseph Koper will read from his new book, "The Isaiah Fountain Case: Outrage and Jim Crow Justice on Maryland's Eastern Shore", and sign copies as well.

The Friends of the Library are preparing for their September 30th World of Adventure Book Sale and will be accepting items from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Easton library. Donations limited to one shopping bag or box of books & DVDs, in good condition please.

Grow Your Own Flower Arrangement

Dede Hoops will begin with a talk on her own gardens that she maintains as flower source to her arrangement business Chesapeake Blooms. Ingrid Blanton and Anne Jelich will also be there to demonstrate their styles using seasonally inspired garden flowers! For more information, call (410) 745-5877.

Free Outdoor Screening of "Vivo" at Thompson Park

The EEDC, in Partnership with the Talbot County Library, will host a free outdoor screening of the film "Vivo" September 16th at 8pm at Thompson Park in Easton! With songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also voices the title character, this animated adventure is fun for the entire family! There will also be popcorn and popsicles for sale. Bring a chair and a friend to help kick off Hispanic Heritage month!

The Ins and Outs of Medicare

This free event is sponsored by the Easton Branch of AAUW in partnership with the Talbot County Free Library. We welcome guest speaker Marian Brown, owner and founder of The Montage Group, LLC. A time for questions will follow the presentation.

Spanish English Story Time

Event held in the Childrens area. For ages birth-7, with an adult. Stories and songs in both languages.

Many Threads: An Overview of the History of Quilts

We welcome a presentation by Alice Kish, member of Bayside Quilters of the Eastern Shore. A quilting frame will be set up if anyone wants to try out their quilting stitch. Bring any family quilts you may have questions about. Event is free and open to the public.

Stitching Time

Bring your needlework projects and knit, crochet or stitch with us! We share progress, help each other problem solve (or pattern search) and enjoy working in the company of other crafters. All ages are encouraged to attend and limited instruction and supplies for beginners may be available.
